Brenda visited my office to evaluate and treat her smile and occlusion. She had been grinding her teeth and had lost some posterior teeth and worn down the remainder. As a result, she had short, square upper front teeth with a "gummy" smile and crowded, discolored bottom teeth.

We started with periodontal surgery to lengthen her upper front teeth to improve on her gummy smile. We then prepared all of her teeth for crowns and she went home that day with temporaries with her new bite and smile. Three weeks later we removed the temporaries and placed the crowns, bridges and veneers.

She's now happy and has a smile she is proud of with whiter and straighter teeth just in time for a family wedding. Bridges and crowns were placed in the posterior to establish an occlusion in harmony with her temporomandibular joints. Because of this, she can chew all foods again and she isn't grinding her teeth anymore because of the correction of her bite.

This is a beautiful lady with not so beautiful teeth.  The only way to straighten her teeth and also whiten them to the smile of her dreams was to veneer all of her teeth.  This was accomplished in two visits and now she is smiling from ear to ear!

This gentleman had a smile he wasn't happy with. He was also having temporomandibular joint symptoms that were affecting his quality of life. Because of this, he was bruxing his teeth at night and this had shortened his teeth. I restored 31 of his teeth with porcelain crowns and veneers to restore his occlusion in harmony with his temporomandibular joints. I also lengthened his teeth to a length similar to what he had as a young adult. He also liked the whiter teeth and the new tooth shape and position. Most of this dental reconstruction was accomplished in two visits.

This patient had tetracycline staining as a child. As a young adult he had some crowns placed on his upper teeth to hide the dark staining. These were made from the old porcelain to metal crowns. Over the years he developed a malocclusion that put much pressure on his front teeth. This caused breakage of the porcelain on some of his old crowns. I corrected his malocclusion and smile by lengthening his teeth so that his occlusion was in harmony with his temporomandibular joints. I placed all porcelain veneers and crowns on all his teeth to develop this occlusion. He now has a smile to be proud to display.
