Brenda visited my office to evaluate and treat her smile and occlusion. She had been grinding her teeth and had lost some posterior teeth and worn down the remainder. As a result, she had short, square upper front teeth with a "gummy" smile and crowded, discolored bottom teeth.
We started with periodontal surgery to lengthen her upper front teeth to improve on her gummy smile. We then prepared all of her teeth for crowns and she went home that day with temporaries with her new bite and smile. Three weeks later we removed the temporaries and placed the crowns, bridges and veneers.
She's now happy and has a smile she is proud of with whiter and straighter teeth just in time for a family wedding. Bridges and crowns were placed in the posterior to establish an occlusion in harmony with her temporomandibular joints. Because of this, she can chew all foods again and she isn't grinding her teeth anymore because of the correction of her bite.
This is a beautiful lady with not so beautiful teeth. The only way to straighten her teeth and also whiten them to the smile of her dreams was to veneer all of her teeth. This was accomplished in two visits and now she is smiling from ear to ear!
John is a retired physician who visited both his general dentist and periodontist on a regular basis over the years. This is what he looked like when he first visited my office. Besides the ugly cosmetics, his gums were bleeding because of the many poor fitting fillings. I replaced everything in two visits and now he has a great smile and his gums are not bleeding for the first time in years.
Rick first visited me to treat his obstructive sleep apnea with an oral appliance so he could throw his CPAP away. A common result of sleep apnea is wear of the front teeth. In two visits we accomplished the smile he has wanted for years. He can now sleep well with his oral appliance and his new smile.
Mark is another patient I originally treated for obstructive sleep apnea. Over the years his apnea and severe malocclusion had caused him to wear down his teeth to little "nubs". In two visits we established an occlusion in harmony with his temporomandibular joints (TMJ). Mark is now proud of his new smile.
This patient had a severe malocclusion that caused fracture of existing crowns, tooth wear and erosion. His smile tipped upward to the right. His teeth were deeply stained. I restored his smile and bite with 24 porcelain veneers and crowns. Most of this dentistry was performed in two dental visits.
This patient had a severe fever as a young child that caused yellow horizontal lines and loss of enamel on the tips of her teeth. I restored her upper and lower six teeth with porcelain veneers to improve her overall tooth shape and position and whiten her teeth.
This gentleman had severe wear on his lower teeth from poor occlusion and sleep apnea. His old upper porcelain to metal crowns were poorly fitting and unsightly. I restored all of his teeth with porcelain crowns to correct his bite and develop a smile that he is proud to display.
This gentleman had a smile he wasn't happy with. He was also having temporomandibular joint symptoms that were affecting his quality of life. Because of this, he was bruxing his teeth at night and this had shortened his teeth. I restored 31 of his teeth with porcelain crowns and veneers to restore his occlusion in harmony with his temporomandibular joints. I also lengthened his teeth to a length similar to what he had as a young adult. He also liked the whiter teeth and the new tooth shape and position. Most of this dental reconstruction was accomplished in two visits.
This lady was not happy with her smile. She didn't like the crowding and the color. She, too, was experiencing temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD) that caused her to have headaches on a daily basis. After relieving her TMD symptoms with splint therapy, I restored all of her teeth with porcelain veneers and crowns to establish an occlusion and smile in harmony with her face and temporomandibular joints.
This lady was a severe bruxer due to temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD). She also wasn't happy with her smile. I restored her bite and smile in two visits. She liked the new length of her teeth, their position and contour and their whiter color. Her headaches are now gone.
This patient has unreplaced missing teeth. This made for inefficient chewing. She also wasn't happy with her smile. I restored all of her teeth with crowns and permanent bridges that restored her bite and smile. Most of this dentistry I performed in two dental visits.
This patient had tetracycline staining as a child. As a young adult he had some crowns placed on his upper teeth to hide the dark staining. These were made from the old porcelain to metal crowns. Over the years he developed a malocclusion that put much pressure on his front teeth. This caused breakage of the porcelain on some of his old crowns. I corrected his malocclusion and smile by lengthening his teeth so that his occlusion was in harmony with his temporomandibular joints. I placed all porcelain veneers and crowns on all his teeth to develop this occlusion. He now has a smile to be proud to display.
